My Life

Dear all,  By the time you see this post, I have tendered my resignation with Touch Child Care.  I have gave my letter on Tuesday (9th May 23) and originally I wanted to give one month notice but was asked to exit on that very day. I was indeed shocked but for the safety of the children, I agreed.  Quietly packed up all my things and returned my staff shirts, staff card and access key, my new adventure began.  After bidding farewell to all my colleagues and children in the childcare, I took MRT and went to Jewel Changi and used watercolor to paint the Rain Vortex. At around 12pm, I exited and traveled to Serangoon Nex for a hair makeover.  I went home and rested for the day.

Good morning, everyone.  Today marks a new day and I want to share my story about my journey in Touch Community Services.  Last night, I attended the Touch Community Services (TCS) Staff Dinner and received my 5years long service for the first time. Remembering those days when I first started working and serving in TCS, I want to use this story to Thank God for His faithfulness all these while. At 2000 Aug, I started to serve as a volunteer in TCS and Touch International. From Flag day to National Day and different mission trips. I volunteered in the various services. During Service Learning, I learnt the values of how to be successful. They are RICE in short. I also  They stand for Resilience, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence.  My takeover is that:  "No matter how small the task might be,  do it excellently". 18th March 2023 (Sat) Arrived at Haneda Airport at 4.50pm, collected luggages and went to Uniqlo to search for my skirt but not available. Took airport shuttle bus to Terminal 3.  Walked to Yamato Delivery Collection counter to collect my luggages. Rearrange my luggages and checked in at counter. Went to Yoshinoya for dinner and saw the crowd at the departure gates.  Walked around the transit area and purchased some souvenirs. Rested at the boarding gate and boarded the plane at 11.25pm, took off at 12.20am. Night snack was served and breakfast was served at 4.15am.  19th March 2023 (Sun) Plane arrived at Kuala Lumpur Airport at 6.30am (KL). Arrived at Gate G area and shopped for souvenirs. Boarded plane for Singapore at 8.25am and arrived at Singapore Changi Airport at 10am. Collected luggages and went to Jewel for lunch. 16th March 2023 (Thurs)  Arrived at Naha Airport at 10.30am, collected luggage and met Wailing and Michelle at 12.45pm. Arrived at Church at 1.30pm and ate lunch while waiting to meet Pastor Kina and Kuniko. Went for a tour of the church and Preschool with Pastor Kuniko. At 3pm, I checked in to the staff apartment at Promnado and unpacked my luggages. Pastor Kina came to pick me up for dinner at 6.30pm, went back to apartment at 7.30pm and rested for the night.  17th March 2023 (Fri) Woke up at 6am, washed up and prepared breakfast. Ate breakfast at 7.30pm, dressed up, exited the apartment at 8.45am and walked to the chapel for morning assembly at 9am.  At the assembly, I was asked by Pastor Kuniko to introduce myself in Japanese. Assembly ended at 1035am and I followed K3 Class Teacher for outdoor at the playground and Teacher Yuko to K4 and 5 class for lunch.  After lunch, I helped to conduct a craft lesson for K4 and asked them to sing along "Old MacDonald had a f...

15th March 2023 (Wed) Arrived at Otorii station at 12.25pm, walked to Henna Hotel Haneda and locked my luggages as it was too early for check in.  Quickly exited the hotel and rushed to Yokohama station to meet Charlotte and Hana at Kamakura Station. Met Charlotte at 1.30pm and arrived at Kamakura Station at 2pm. We went for lunch and walked along Komachi Street.  We exited at 5pm and I headed back to hotel to check in for the night. Walked to Yamato delivery center and delivered my luggages to Haneda Airport.  16th March 2023 (Thurs) Woke up at 4.30am and packed up luggages and check out at 5.15am to take shuttle bus to Haneda Airport to fly to Okinawa.  Boarded the bus at 5.45am and arrived at Terminal 1 at 6.05am. Checked in my luggage and entered the departure gates at 6.30am. Ate breakfast at 7am and walked around. Boarded the plane at 8.25am, plane took off at 8.47am.  

13th March (Mon) Arrived at Kyoto Station at 3.13pm, walked to Dormy Inn Kyoto Premium Ekimae to check in. Unpack my luggage and went to board bus 206 to Gion area at 5.15pm. Arrived at Gion Gojozaka Busstop at 5.38pm.  Arrived at Ninenzaka at 5.50pm and walked around 6pm. Walked to Sannenzaka and exited at 6.20pm. Continued walking to dinner restaurant and arrived at Sasora East at 6.45pm. Exited at 7.45pm and boarded Bus 4 for Kyoto Station.  Arrived at Kyoto station at 8.15pm, walked around Porta underground shopping street and head back to hotel to rest for the night. 14th March (Tues) Woke up at 6am, went for onsen, dressed up in Yukata and ate breakfast at 8am. Exited hotel for Arashiyama Bamboo Forest at 8.15am. Boarded the San-in line for JR Arashiyama station and arrived at 8.50am. Walked to the Torroko Arashiyama station and waited for the gates to be open.  At 9am, the gates opened but purchase of the tickets for the Sagano romantic train only starts at 9.25am....
